Storage Tank

Projects: Where’s The Leak

Subsurface Investigations and Site Remediation

When a historical Underground Storage Tank spilled and the leak migrated approximately 1,400 feet from the source into a high-traffic area, ATC was tasked with assessing, delineating, and remediating its impacts.

ATC worked closely with the regulatory agencies, owners and companies of identified and possible contributors to the spill, and other interested local agency parties to discover the source of the leak. ATC tested soil and groundwater and completed a regional assessment which included an evaluation of 8 UST cases coupled with development of a detailed regional site conceptual model. Local agencies and ATC identified the source and are currently developing an appropriate path forward to complete the assessment of the project area.
